Empowering Potential Through Education & Therapy
At Care & Support Services, we know that every young person has their own story — and many have faced tough times like trauma, loss, or big changes. That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we combine therapy with flexible, hands-on support that fits each child’s unique needs.
Whether it’s rebuilding trust, helping with school, or just being someone who listens, our team is here to walk alongside them. With care, consistency, and creativity, we help young people feel safe, grow in confidence, and start believing in their future again.
Understanding Young People Through Clinical Insight
Our forensic psychology services offer specialised care that addresses behavioural challenges shaped by early adversity. We use the 5 P’s Framework to build individualised care plans:
-
Presenting Needs and Risks – What’s happening now?
-
Predisposing Factors – What in the past may have led here?
-
Precipitating Factors – What triggered the behaviour?
-
Perpetuating Factors – What’s keeping it going?
-
Protective Factors – What can help and support change?

Therapeutic Parenting – Creating Secure Foundations
Therapeutic parenting focuses on understanding the emotional and psychological needs of young people, especially those who have experienced trauma. Our staff are trained to provide consistent, nurturing care that builds trust, encourages healthy communication, and prioritizes emotional safety.
Embracing the PACE Therapeutic Model
We embed the PACE framework into our care approach to build trust and resilience in young people through:
-
Playfulness – Creating joy and connection
-
Acceptance – Unconditional support
-
Curiosity – Asking questions without judgment
-
Empathy – Feeling with, not just for

Clinical Support & Staff Consultation
Our team doesn't work in isolation—we’re backed by regular, structured clinical input. Staff attend monthly clinical consultations with our in-house psychologist, giving them a safe space to reflect, explore challenges, and refine their practice. These sessions ensure our care is trauma-informed, emotionally attuned, and responsive to each young person’s evolving needs.
Flexible, Personalised Learning
While we do not provide on-site schooling, we work closely with education providers to ensure every young person has a plan tailored to their individual needs, abilities, and aspirations. This may include alternative education options such as pupil referral units (PRUs), online learning platforms like EOTAS or Academy21, local SEN schools, vocational training centres, or community-based activity centres. We also support participation in structured extracurriculars like Stagecoach Performing Arts, Army Cadets, sports clubs, and creative workshops — all of which promote confidence, social skills, and engagement with learning.

Supporting Independence
We believe that helping young people grow into confident, capable adults means supporting them to take small, meaningful steps toward independence every day. Whether it’s learning how to cook a meal, manage money, navigate public transport, or plan their goals, we provide guidance that builds self-esteem and life skills.
Our homes offer opportunities for young people to:
-
Practice everyday responsibilities in a safe and supportive setting
-
Learn how to budget and manage their time
-
Build confidence through decision-making and problem-solving
-
Explore work experience, volunteering, and community engagement
-
Receive encouragement and coaching from staff every step of the way
By gradually building these skills, we empower young people to feel ready for the next stage of their journey—whatever that looks like for them.
