About us

WHO ARE WE

At Care & Support Services, we operate a group of residential homes across the West Midlands, dedicated to supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. Our homes are built on a foundation of co-production, teamwork, and trauma-informed care, creating environments where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to grow.

RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICES

We provide high-quality, residential placements for young people who need structured, therapeutic support. Each home is tailored to the individual needs of its residents, promoting safety, emotional wellbeing, and long-term development.

ACTIVITY-BASED CARE

Our Activity-Based Care model goes beyond basic routines — we engage young people in meaningful activities that build skills, confidence, and community.

Key features:

  • Tailored daily routines with enriching activities

  • Skill-building sessions (cooking, art, sports, gardening)

  • Opportunities to explore interests and build positive identity

  • Group activities that foster peer relationships and teamwork

We also cater for crisis placements

Holistic Approach
  • Holistic appraoch to meeting health and mental wellbeing.

  • Focuses on early intervention and prevention

  • Incorporates physical, emotional, and social wellbeing

  • Recognises that mental health is dynamic and needs consistent attention

  • Supports young people through daily habits, routines, and role models

  • Promotes healthy identity formation and coping strategies

This holistic model ensures that mental and physical health are not seen as separate. Support is proactive, continuous, and integrated into everyday activities like meals, school routines, social skills development, and relaxation.

SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT & ENRICHMENT

We offer a wide range of structured recreational and social opportunities that support development, foster emotional wellbeing, and build lasting memories for our young people.

These experiences are not just enjoyable — they are designed to nurture essential life skills, boost confidence, and create a sense of belonging.

Experiences include:

  • Day trips to theme parks, bowling alleys, museums, and nature reserves

  • Outdoor activities such as hiking, picnics, and treasure hunts

  • Holiday celebrations, cultural festivals, and themed parties

  • Community volunteering and enrichment programmes

  • Group games and team-building activities to encourage trust and positive peer interaction

  • Arts, crafts, cooking sessions, and talent showcases to promote creativity and self-expression

Our goal is to ensure that every young person feels included, valued, and empowered through these shared experiences. These activities are a key part of building social awareness, developing resilience, and reinforcing healthy relationships.
