🔒 How We Maintain Safety, Wellbeing & Compliance

At Care and Support Services, safeguarding young people is at the heart of everything we do. Our policies ensure homes are safe, consistent, and fully compliant with regulatory standards and regulations.

We achieve this by:

  • ✅ Following strict safeguarding procedures to protect every young person

  • 🧑‍🏫 Providing mandatory training for all staff, including safeguarding, first aid, and physical intervention

  • 📝 Carrying out regular audits and checks on homes, staff files, and practice

  • 🧠 Ensuring access to emotional and therapeutic support for young people

  • 📄 Keeping policies up to date with Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and Ofsted guidance

💡 These measures make sure young people feel safe, supported, and respected — while giving professionals confidence in the quality of our care.

🤝 Working Together with External Agencies

At Care and Support Services, we know that supporting young people takes a team approach. Our staff work closely with schools, social workers, healthcare providers, and other professionals to make sure every child’s needs are met.

Here’s how we collaborate:

  • 📞 Open Communication – regular updates and information sharing with all agencies involved.

  • 📝 Joint Planning – contributing to care plans, reviews, and meetings to keep goals aligned.

  • 🏥 Specialist Support – linking with external experts such as therapists, doctors, and educational staff.

  • 👥 Team Around the Child – ensuring every professional is working together in the child’s best interests.

By building strong partnerships, we create a consistent and supportive network around every young person in our care.

👩‍🏫 Our Staff & Team

At Care and Support Services, our staff are the heart of everything we do. Each team member is carefully selected, fully trained, and continuously supported to provide the highest standards of care.

✅ All staff complete mandatory training such as safeguarding, first aid, ligature awareness, and physical intervention.
✅ Everyone undertakes specialist training in areas like trauma-informed care, ADHD, and emotional & behavioural difficulties (EBD).
✅ We train all staff in the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to help build trusting, therapeutic relationships with young people.
✅ Clinical Consultations are held regularly to reflect on practice, offer professional support, and ensure care plans meet each young person’s needs.
✅ Ongoing professional development ensures our team stay up-to-date, confident, and emotionally attuned in their roles.

Our commitment to training means your child will always be supported by skilled, compassionate professionals who understand their needs and put their safety and wellbeing first. 💙
