Join Our Team

At Care and Support Services, we’re more than just a workplace — we’re a family of passionate, dedicated individuals who believe in making a real difference in young people’s lives.

We run a group of therapeutic residential care homes across the West Midlands, supporting children and teens with emotional and behavioural needs. Every day, our team works together to provide safe, nurturing environments where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.

Whether you’re an experienced support worker or just starting out with transferable skills from roles like teaching, retail, the military, or healthcare — we’re looking for compassionate, resilient people ready to make an impact.

Why Work With Us

We don’t just provide care for young people — we create opportunities for staff to grow, thrive, and make a real difference. Joining us means being part of a team that values passion, respect, and teamwork. We’re committed to supporting you with the tools, training, and encouragement needed to reach your full potential. Together, we build a culture where care goes both ways—between staff, and for the young people we serve.

Supportive Team

You won’t just be joining a workplace — you’ll be part of a supportive team that looks out for each other. Our staff are encouraged to share ideas, support one another, and celebrate successes together.

What Makes Us Different

We believe a happy team creates a happy home. From team-building events and Christmas parties to cartoon birthday shoutouts and our staff-created cookbook, we make space for fun and connection. We celebrate each other with Employee of the Month in every home, share stories through our quarterly newsletter, and enjoy activities like trampoline park trips and Go Ape adventures.

Career Development

At Care and Support Services, we’re passionate about developing our team from within. As we continue to grow and open more homes, we want our staff to grow with us—into senior roles, team leaders, and future managers. From your very first day, you’ll be supported through induction, hands-on training, and access to specialist courses like safeguarding, physical intervention, and more. Whether you’re starting as a Support Worker or aiming for leadership, we offer clear progression pathways and the tools to help you succeed.

Making a Difference

Every role here has purpose. Whether you’re working directly with young people or supporting behind the scenes, your efforts will shape lives, create brighter futures, and leave a lasting impact.

Diversity & Inclusion

We celebrate individuality and believe our differences make us stronger. At Care and Support Services, we welcome people from all walks of life, creating a culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. By embracing diversity, we build a stronger team and provide better care for the young people we support.

What is an EBD Young People’s Support Worker?

An EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Support Worker plays a vital role in helping young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or challenging life circumstances. These young people may struggle with emotional regulation, forming trusting relationships, or behaving safely—and that’s where you come in.

As a support worker, your job is to provide consistency, patience, and understanding. You’ll build positive relationships, manage day-to-day routines, help young people access education and activities, and respond calmly to challenging behaviour using trauma-informed approaches. You’ll also work as part of a team to implement care plans, celebrate small wins, and provide a stable, supportive environment where young people can feel safe and start to thrive.

This role can be tough, but it’s also incredibly rewarding—because every step forward is a life changed for the better.
