


About the Role
As a Support Worker in our existing homes, you’ll be part of a supportive team responsible for maintaining structure, safety, and therapeutic care as we transition to new placements.
You will:
- Provide high-quality emotional and practical support to young people once placed
- Assist in keeping the home compliant and placement-ready
- Work across multiple homes (Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Wednesbury) as needed
- Help embed routines, therapeutic approaches, and positive communication
- Support the home’s leadership team during gaps in placement or low staffing
- Promote a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all young people

Requirements
• Experience in residential childcare or similar settings
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or enrolled within 6 months)
• Trauma-informed and emotionally resilient approach
• Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and working with complex behaviours
• Driver preferred due to multi-site coverage
• Flexible availability including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends

Care & Support Services operates several regulated homes across the West Midlands. These homes are currently preparing for new young person placements, and we are building a flexible team of Support Workers who can cover multiple homes and ensure consistency, care, and readiness across the board.
