Senior Support Worker - West Midlands

About the Role

In this flexible leadership role, you will provide hands-on care while supporting home readiness and culture.

You will:

- Lead shifts, supervise staff, and act as a senior point of contact in the absence of management
- Support the implementation of trauma-informed routines, care plans, and behaviour support strategies
- Work across various homes as needed, ensuring each is compliant and emotionally safe for future placements
- Maintain strong safeguarding practice and contribute to audits and quality assurance
- Offer coaching, feedback, and encouragement to support workers and contribute to a positive team atmosphere

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a variety of settings, is confident in leading from the front, and is passionate about improving the lives of young people.

Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or higher)

• Experience supporting children with EBD, ADHD, or trauma-related behaviours

• Confident leading shifts and mentoring junior staff

• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance

• Trauma-informed, emotionally resilient, and consistent

• Driver essential due to multi-site travel

Care & Support Services operates multiple regulated homes across the West Midlands, including sites in Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Wednesbury, and Cannock. As we prepare for upcoming placements and continue to build strong teams, we are seeking experienced Senior Support Workers to help embed therapeutic care and high-quality practice across our homes.
