


About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in both day-to-day care and operational leadership.
You will:
- Support the Registered Manager in audits, rotas, training, and team development
- Lead shifts and oversee delivery of care in line with trauma-informed approaches
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required
- Mentor support workers and role model therapeutic interactions
- Contribute to building a warm, structured, and emotionally secure environment for the young person
This is a hands-on role in a newly forming home — perfect for someone who wants to grow their leadership skills and be part of a home’s foundation.
Requirements
• Experience working in a residential children's home as Team leader or Deputy
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working toward Level 4)
• Strong leadership and shift management skills
• Calm, reflective, and trauma-informed approach to behaviour and care
• Confident in safeguarding, rota management, and supporting inspections
• Experience with EBD, ADHD, and children with complex needs
